Pennsylvania's Outstanding Young Woman
Eligibility Requirements, Program Dates and Entry Form

At local, regional, and state events, the judging procedures are the same. Each of the following categories account for 20% of the total score: Scholarship and Achievement; Interview; Performing Arts; Aerobics and Fitness; Presence and Presentation.

Eligibility:
High School women may compete in their local regions as early as the spring of their Junior Year depending on the local program. Some local regions require registration in the winter of their Junior Year.  Therefore, it is important for each contestant to act quickly to confirm eligibility. All participants must be United States Citizens and legal residents of the region in which they compete. They must be of good moral character, never married, and may not have a child or be pregnant. At the state finals level, all participants must be certified high school seniors. There are no entry fees for participation.
